French, 19th century.Gilt and polychrome painted porcelain watch holder, representing Cronos, the mythological figure of time, the watch aperture richly decorated with scrolls, floral volutes and ornaments in the rococo style, surrounded by a snake, the whole reminiscent of the style of Jacob Petit, Paris - 1796/8 December 1868.
