German (Augsburg), 18th century.Gilt bronze watch holder, on a tripod pedestal, representing two figures in late eighteenth century dress, the watch aperture fitted with a claw spring, a cockerel on the top part, symbolizing day time, all parts richly decorated with scrolls, floral volutes and ornaments in the rococo style.
