German, 18th century.Carved wood watch holder, representing a bucolic scene of a young man, in late eighteenth century dress, holding a sheep under his arm, all parts richly decorated with scrolls, floral volutes and ornaments in the rococo style, the whole raised on a shaped and carved wood base.
