French, 18th century.Carved wood watch holder, representing a young man in late eighteenth century dress, the watch aperture above his head, richly decorated with scrolls, floral volutes and ornaments in the rococo style; the underside of the base inscribed "Berger - Budet - La Chaise-Dieu".
