French, 18th century.Carved and gilt wood watch holder, with Cronos, the mythological figure of time, seated below the watch aperture, resting his head on his elbow, the other arm outstretched, his hand on a rock. All parts richly decorated with scrolls, floral volutes and ornaments in the rococo style, the whole mounted on a shaped base.
