French, 18th century.Carved wood mantel watch holder, representing a large drapery with attributes of the Roman Empire, all parts richly decorated with floral volutes and a garland of flowers; the underside of the base inscribed "MAZET" with a sticker inscribed "375", the whole mounted on a shaped base with four feet.
