German, 18th century.Carved wood watch holder, representing a bucolic scene of a young man seated on a rock, holding a sheep under his arm, the watch aperture richly decorated with scrolls, floral volutes and ornaments in the rococo style; the underside of the shaped base inscribed "H Grath Exon".
