French, 18th century.Carved, gilt and polychrome painted wood watch holder, resembling the façade of a temple, with an arched pediment, palm leaf decoration on the top, two columns flanking the watch aperture, richly decorated with scrolls and foliage, the whole mounted on a shaped base.
