French, 18th century.Carved and gilt wood watch holder, representing a lady in neoclassical dress and a horseman falling from his horse, the watch aperture surrounded by a garland of flowers above an arch decorated with palms and on the top part another lady also in neoclassical dress, the whole mounted on a shaped base.
