Anonymous, French, circa 1820. Fine 18-carat gold watch with a concealed enamel portrait.

Four body "Empire" engine-turned case. Gold cuvette set with a very fine enamel painted portrait of a lady, signed with the monogram: "TC". Silver engine turned dial with Roman numerals. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. Gilt brass bar movement, the going barrel with a female winding hole, cylinder escapement with a plain gilt brass three armed balance. In very good condition. Diam.: 55 mm.
