Anonymous, French, circa 1890. Rare gilt brass minute repeating carriage clock with alarm.

Glazed "Anglaise" case with corinthian columns. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and a small subsidiary alarm setting dial. Blued steel "triangles opposés" hands. Rare movement with going barrels, plateform lateral lever escapement with bimetallic balance, repeating on three gongs by means of a push piece on the top. Alarm train with going barrel, striking on a gong. In good condition. Dim. 15 cm. high without the handle.
