Henri Jacot, Paris, circa 1890. Fine gilt brass "Grande and Petite sonnerie" quarter repeating carriage clock.

Glazed "Corniche Anglaise" case with gilt brass panels pierced and engraved with scrolls and inhabited foliage. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel "pear" hands. Fine movement with going barrels, bearing the "Jacot" mark on the back plate, plateform lateral lever escapement with bimetallic balance and Breguet balance spring. Striking on two gongs, repeating by means of a push piece on the top. Striking selection lever on the base. Dim. 140 mm. high without the handel.
