J. Assmann, Dresde, No. 3453 made for the Spanish market, circa 1868. Good 18-carat gold hunting cased keyless watch.

Four body massive "demi-bassine" engine-turned case, the edges, the band, the pendant and the bow chased with flowers and foliage. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds (small hair cracks). Blued steel "triangles opposés" hands. Very good 18"' three quarter plate nickel movement, "à vagues" deco-ration, 20 jewels in gold screwed settings, with a gold train of wheels, straight line lever escapement with gold anchor and escape wheel, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. In very good condition. Diam. 51 mm.
