Henry Lewis, 172 New Bond Street, London, Swiss, circa 1880. Very fine 18ct gold and enamel hunting cased keyless minute repeating moon phase astronomical watch with a perpetual calendar and a chronograph.

Four body massive "bassine et filets" polished case, a fine champlevé enamel painted coat of arms on the back. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months with the leap year cycle, the dates and the subsidiary seconds with an inner moon phase aperture. Blued steel "pear" hands. Gilt brass 19 movement, 31 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. The chronograph with a visible work and a push piece on the band. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam.: 56 mm.
