J.R. Losada, 281 Regent Street, London, No 2716, made for Luciano de Murrieta, bearing the London Hall Marks for 1851/1852, in a black leather covered fitted case. Fine 18ct gold hunting cased key wound "grande and petite sonnerie" clockwatch with a double calendar and an independant minute repeating train, special escapement.
Four body massive "demi-bassine et filets" case engraved overall with scrolled foliage and flowers. Gold cuvette engraved with a similar decoration. Silver dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the dates and the subsidiary seconds, the center engraved with a floral decoration, further gold cast decoration on the border of the subsidiary dials. Blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass 18"' three quarter plate double train movement with going barrels, 32 jewels in screwed settings, duplex escapement, cut bimetallic balance and flat balance spring. Striking on gongs, repeating by means of a slide on the band with an independant repeating train and work. Signed on the dial, the cuvette and the movement. In very good condition. Diam.: 57 mm.
