C.H. Meylan, Brassus, circa 1890. Fine 18 ct. pink gold minute repeating keyless watch with a split second chronograph and a progressive 60 minute recorder.
Four body massive "bassine et filets" polished case. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer red Arabic minute and chronograph rings, subsidiary seconds and a minute register. Blued steel "spade" hands. Nickel plated 18' three quarter plate movement, "fausses côtes" decoration, 32 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring with a micrometric index patented in 1880. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. The split second chronograph with a visible work and the push piece on the band. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Diam.: 53 mm.
