J.W. Benson, 25 Old Bond Street, London, By special Warrants to H.M. the Queen & H.R.H the Prince of Wales, No 2516 and 2517, bearing the London Hall Marks for 1885. Rare and important pair of 18 ct. gold hunting cased keyless minute repeating watches with a split second chronograph and an instantaneous 60 minute recorder.

Four body massive "bassine et filets" polished cases. Gold cuvettes. White enamel dials with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings, subsidiary seconds and minute register. Blued steel "spade" hands. Gilt brass 19"' three quarter plate movements, 26 jewels in screwed settings, English lateral lever escapements, cut bimetallic balance with gold screwes, blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves, free sprung. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. The split second chronograph with push pieces on the band. Signed on the dials and the movements. In very good condition. Diam.: 57 mm.
