L'Epine Her du Roy A Paris. Swiss circa 1780. 18-carat gold and enamel quarter repeating watch with optionnal dumb device.
Double body case, the bezel with champlevé floral decoration, the back of translucent violet enamel over engine turning a chased gold roset applied at the centre, outer gold picked rim. (Restored), champlevé enamelled floral decoration on the edge. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, concentric Arabic minute ring, the half hours marked by gold dots ( restored). Gold Louis XV hands. Full plate verge movement with cylindrical pilars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass three armed balance, continental cock with steel endpiece. Dump repeating or striking on a bell, when depressing the rose diamondset pendant. In good condition. Diam. 42 mm.
