J. Preston, Maker to the Admiralty, Bolton, Hall Marks for Chester 1904. Good 18-carat gold pocket chronometer with 521/2 minute karusel regulator.

Four body "bassine et filet" polished case. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial probably by Willys, with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. "Spade" blued steel hands. Three quarter plate 19movement with going barrel, 18 jewels, right angle lever cut escapement, cut bimetaIIic balance, Breguet balance spring. The escapement is set on a 521/2 minute revolving carriage. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
