Lepine, circa 1795. Very rare silver cased 8 days going watch with a special escapement.

Double body case with invisible hinges and fixed bezel such as on most of Lepine watches. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals (slightly chipped at the top). Gold Breguet hands. Gilt brass movement, typical of Lepine's eight day caliber with a large fine standing wolf toothed barrel, 5 wheels train of wheels, virgule escapement, plain three armed brass balance (in need of restoration). Diam. 58 mm.

Notes

Previously in the L. Leroy Collection of technical watches, this watch was exhibited in his Private Museum, therefore, as many others, the back of the case was glazed and the cuvette removed.
