Lepine inv. & Fecit Paris, No. 6204, circa 1810. Extremely rare silver cased experimental watch.

Triple body silver case with gold fixed bezel and reeded band (the back laterly glazed and the cuvette removed). White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, marked "Lepine inv. & Fecit" (small hair cracks). Blued steel Breguet hands. Full plate gilt brass movement with going barrel, Robin type detent lever escapement, plaint three armed brass balance, bimetallic Breguet compensation curb. In good condition. Diam. 55 mm.

Previously in the L. Leroy Collection of technical watches, this watch was exhibited in his Private Museum, therefore, as many others, the back of the case was glazed and the cuvette removed.
