The Pink TulipFortin a Paris, circa 1830.Fine and amusing, 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set, concealed dial form watch in the shape of a tulip.

C. two-body, the spring-loaded petals finely painted in enamel in tones of pink, white and blue, hinged to the base of the flower which is in translucent red enamel over a flinqué ground, the two-tone green leaves attached to a gold stem forming the pendant, the base of the flower set with half pearls. The watch is suspended from four small chains joined by a gold ring. D. white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel hands. M. 23.5 mm ø, hinged, gilt brass full plate, cylindical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock, rack and pinion regulator with silver plate.Signed on the movement.Dim. 42 x 28 mm.
