Very Small Quarter-Repeater Herve a Paris. Made circa 1780. Fine, very small and rare, dumb quarter-repeating 18K gold pocket watch.
C. Two-body, ?Louis XVI?, engine-turned, deep back. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 21 mm., frosted gilt full-plate, ring-turned tapered pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, four-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, foliate pierced and chased continental type balance cock, silver regulation disc, repeating with two hammers on the case activated by depressing the pendant. Movement signed. Case with Paris hallmarks. Diam. 30 mm.
