Quarter-Repeater Caudron a Paris, " Quarter-Repeater" movement No. 4534, case No. 5216. Made circa 1860. Very fine, 18K yellow gold, quarter-repeating, early keyless pocket watch.
C. Four-body, ?bassine?, polished, hinged gold cuvette with engraved gothic "E&K" under a crown. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. M. 18.5???, maillechort, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial and cuvette signed. Case numbered. Diam. 46 mm. Thickness 12 mm.
