Minute-Repeating, Perpetual Calendar & Chronograph L. Leroy & Cie., Horlogers de la Marine, 7, Boulevard de la Madeleine, Paris, No.16313. Made circa 1910. Extremely fine and very rare, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold, keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar, chronograph and moon phases.
C. Four-body, massive, "bassine", polished. Gold cuvette. D. Matte silver, black champleve Arabic numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic numerals, outermost fifth of a second chronograph divisions, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months, leap-year cycle, the date and the seconds with inner moon phase aperture, engine-turned center. Blued-steel spade hands. M. 19???, gilt brass, 36 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band, chronograph with visible work and co-axial button on the winding crown for start/stop/return-to-zero fuctions. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 54 mm.
