Automaton with Three Jacks Swiss. Made circa 1815. Fine and unusual, quarter-repeating, silver pocket watch with three automaton Jacks.
C. Three-body, ?Empire?, No. 1076, mastermark IDB, polished, reeded band. Spring-loaded hinged, gilt cuvette hinged to the movement ring. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, chased gold Jacks on each side of the dial appearing to strike the hours and quarters on two bells, a small gold appliqué below the dial with a boy in a garden striking a further bell. Blued steel lozenge hands. M. Gilt brass, full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece, silver regulation dial, repeating on two gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Diam. 57 mm.
