Quarter-Repeating Le Roy & Fils, 211 Regent Street, London, No. 10743. Made circa 1815. Fine, 18K rose gold quarter-repeating pocket watch with ruby cylinder escapement.
C. Four-body "Empire", No. 774, mastermark GFF, polished bezel, engine-turned back ?a grains d?orge?, engine-turned band. Hinged gold cuvette with apertures for the winding and handsetting. D. Gold, champlevé radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, engine-turned center. Gold Breguet hands. M. 50 mm., 22 ''', gilt brass, standing barrel with continuous stop-work, English-type ruby cylinder escapement, plain three-arm gilt balance, parachute on the upper pivot, blued steel flat balance spring, train jeweled to the third wheel, bimetallic compensation curb, repeating on two gongs by two hammers via a pull-and-twist piston in the pendant.
