Early Summer Bouquet Swiss, probably Fleurier. Made for the Chinese market, circa 1860. Very fine and rare, gold, painted on enamel and pearl-set center-seconds pocket watch with mirror-polished movement and duplex escapement.

Two-body, the back painted on enamel with a bouquet of roses, peonies, poppies and cornflowers, translucent royal blue enamel ground over wavy-line engine-turning, pearl-set bezels, pendant and bow. Spring-loaded glazed gold-rimmed cuvette fixed to the movement ring. D. White enamel, thin radial Roman numerals, outer minute and seconds divisions and Arabic 15-minute/seconds numerals. Blued steel pierced flower hands. M. 48 mm., mirror-polished and blued steel, Chinese caliber, 9 jewels, free-standing barrel, duplex escapement, bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel wedge-shaped weights, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Diam. 58 mm.
