Pivoted Detent Chronometer Girard Perregaux, ?Cronometer?, case No. 33480. Made circa 1880. Fine and rare, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased, pocket chronometer with pivoted-detent escapement.
C. Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, mastermark PM&F, engine-turned with polished borders, interior of the front cover with engraved dedication, reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border. D. White with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued-steel Breguet hands. M. Cal 20???, 44 mm, rhodium plated, bar calibre, wavy-line decoration, jewelled to the third wheel, pivoted detent escapement, cut bimetallic two-arm compensation balance with gold timing and temperature adjustment screws, blued-steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 54 mm
