Jaeger Watch Co, New York, Swiss, circa 1945. Fine and unusual 8-day going chronometer ?Chronomaster? clock with 24 hour dial, chronograph and calendar. Accompanied by its original instructions.

C. Black plastic base surmounted by clear Perspex dome, with brass hoop for wall mounting. D. White, outer track for date, upper counter for elapsed time, lower counter for split second totalizer. Black Cathedral hands. M. Cal. 332, 13 jewels, adjusted to temperatures, straight line lever escapement, cut monometallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on movement, numbered on movement. Diam. 102 mm.

After World War II, Jaeger USA had stocks remaining of the Chronomaster clocks used on board military aircraft. In order to to reach a broader market, they mounted them in perspex cases, converting them to wall or desk clocks.
