Minute Repeating & Chronograph E. Mathey, Swiss, No. 35778. Made circa 1910. Very fine, keyless, minute-repeating, 14K pink gold pocket watch with chronograph.
C. Four-body, bassine, solid, polished, reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette with concentric guilloché decoration. D. Three-piece white enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track, outermost fifth of a second divisions with 5 minute/seconds red Arabic numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds. Black steel spade hands. M. Rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to 4 positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 52 mm.
