Independent Dead Center-Seconds W. Hoff & Fils, No. 28511. Made circa 1870. Very fine and rare, two-train, 18K yellow gold, hunting cased, keyless pocket watch with independent dead centerseconds and gold wheel train.

Five-body, ?bassine et filet?, engine-turned covers with polished borders, the front cover with central engraved monogram, the interior with engraved dedication, polished band with bolt at 6 o?clock for the start/stop of the centerseconds. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the technical details. D.White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary constant seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 19???, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, two-train with tandem winding, 29 jewels, both trains with gold wheels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Movement signed on the dial plate.Diam. 51 mm.
