Lettre d?Amour International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, No. 241592. Made circa 1910. Very fine, 14K rose gold, hunting-cased keyless pocket watch with relief decorated case. Accompanied by a fitted box and a gold chain.

Four-body, ?pomme et filet?, the front cover decorated with an engraved scene of a young lady reading a letter to her companion in a garden, the back cover decorated with foliage in relief and central engraved monogram, polished borders. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Gold Louis XVI hands. M. Cal. 18''', frosted gilt, 17 jewels, some in screwed gold chatons, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 55 mm.
