Irish Gold Watch Shean Houston, Dublin, No. 316. The cases by Arthur O?Neill with Dublin hallmarks for 1781. Fine and very rare, Irish 18K gold, pair-cased pocket watch.

C. Outer: two-body, polished. Inner: two-body, ?bassine?, polished. Gilt dust cover. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions and Arabic five-minute numerals. Gold beetle and poker hands. M. 34 mm., frosted gilt full plate, tapered cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, lever escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, pierced and foliate engraved single-footed cock, diamond endstone, silver regulation dial. Movement signed, both cases with the punchmark of Arthur O?Neill, Dublin. Diam. 49 mm.
