Model Lever Escapement Erich Mehnert, Goppersdorf. Made in the early 20th century. Fine,model of a lever escapement on black marble base with glass dome.

Circular molded black marble base on bun feet, brushed and varnished brass plate, ?V? shaped bridge for the balance with foliate engraving and secured to two posts by polished steel screws, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement with brass escape wheel, polished steel pallets, bridge for the escape wheel and lever decorated to match the balance bridge, bimetallic compensation balance with temperature and mean time adjustment screws, upper pivot with endstone, freesprung blued steel helical balance spring with inner and outer terminal curves, the upper end fastened to a polished steel stud. Signed on the base plate. Dim. 21 x 14 cm. Including dome.
