Quarter-Repeating Deschamps, Rue du Roule N. 3 a Paris. No. 225. Dated April 1824. Fine, quarter-repeating, 18K gold pocket watch with ruby cylinder escapement.
C. Four-body, "forme collier", engine-turned ?à grains d?orge?, bolt at 1 o?clock for locking the repeating. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. Guilloché gold, engine-turned with radial Roman numerals on a brushed chapter ring, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 49 mm (22???) gilt brass, standing barrel, 6 jewels, ruby cylinder escapement, gold three-arm balance with pare-chute suspension on the upper pivot, blued steel flat balance spring with bimetallic temperature compensation curb on the index regulator, repeating on gongs with two elongated hammers activated by depressing the pendant. Cuvette signed. Diam. 55 mm.
