Quarter-Repeating & Independent Center-Seconds Leroy et Fils, Hrs. du Roi a Paris,No. 13447.Made circa 1820. Fine and very rare, quarter-repeating, two-train, 18K gold pocket watch with independent center-seconds, ruby cylinder escapement and Leroy patent fold-down winding buttons.

C. Four-body, ?Empire?, engine-turned, bolt at 1 to lock the repeating and at 6 for start/stop of the center-seconds. Hinged gold cuvette with apertures for the winding and hand-setting buttons. D. Silver, engine-turned, black painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute and seconds track. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 50 mm., matte gilt with two trains, standing barrels with fold-down buttons for winding, jeweled ruby cylinder escapement, gilt three-arm balance with pare-chute on the upper pivot, flat balance spring, bimetallic temperature compensation curb on the blued steel index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Cuvette signed. Diam. 56 mm.
