Two-body, ?bassine? with curved-in edges, the back painted with the scene of the Bath of Bathsheba, the interior decorated with a rural landscape, the band with four cartouches depicting countryside landscapes, loose ring pendant. D. Gold, bold radial Roman chapters on a white annular ring, the center with a finely painted scene of Venus and Adonis. Gold Louis hands.M. 34 mm., hinged, gilt brass full plate, conical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, pierced and engraved foliate continental cock, polished steel endplate with faceted garnet endstone, silver regulation dial. Movement signed. Diam. 41 mm.
