Blondeau, Bte du Roi, No. 5243, ?Retour d?Egypte?style. Very fine and rare veneered mahogany inlaid with ebony center-seconds table regulator with thermometer.

Trunk glazed on four sides, square columns, the front ones with Egyptian caryatids with heads and feet of patinated bronze, narrow plinth with ebonized molding for rectangular dado inlaid with ebony, ebony surbase, removable cornice with rectangular cresting. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds and half-seconds divisions, winding apertures, ormolu bezel with Zodiac signs. Blued steel, Breguet hands. M. Circular, 128 cm, brass, pin-wheel escapement with T-shaped arm, set on the back plate, spring suspension, brass-steel gridiron compensating pendulum with four steel and five brass rods, brass bob set with thermometer, amplitude scale on the ebony bracket fixed to the base, adjustment knob, lateral micrometric adjustment on the crutch. Signed on dial, numbered on the movement. Height 51cm, width 29cm.
