Watch with Six Complications for the Russian Market Tchetounoff Freres, Swiss, case No. 8345. Made for the Russian market, circa 1890. Very fine and very rare, minute-repeating, 18K gold, enamel, rose-cut diamond and pearl-set, hunting-cased, keyless, pocket watch with perpetual calendar, chronograph and phases and age of the moon.

C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", both covers fully decorated with rose-cut diamonds and pearls on translucent red and green enamel over elaborate engraved ground, the front cover decorate with a stylized flower head, the back with a crossed geometric pattern, polished band, hand-setting button at 4 o?clock. Hinged gold cuvette with blue and black champleve enamel technical details, glazed gold-rimmed cover for viewing the movement. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, outermost fifths of a second divisions with Arabic five-second numerals, four subsidiary dials for days of the week, date, months of the leap year cycle and subsidiary sconds concentric with phases of the moon aperture with sector for its age. Gold spade hands. M. 47 mm., 21''', frosted gilt brass, 35 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band, visible chronograph work, button in the band at 12 o?clock for the start/stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph. Cuvette signed. Diam. 58 mm.
