Unsigned, Neuchâtel. Produced circa 1790.Fine, 18K gold quarter repeating watch with striking Jacks.

C. two-body, polished, band engraved and pierced for sound, spring-loaded, gilt dust-cap. D. an applied multicolored gold and silver boy, symbolizing "Amour", holding an arrow in one hand, and in the other a hammer with which he strikes the hours, while a young lady, perhaps his intended "victim", accompanies him by striking the quarters, eccentric white enamel dial with Breguet numerals. Blued steel hands. M. 43.8 mm., hinged, gilt full plate, cylindrical pillars, verge escapement, plain brasshree-arm balance, continental cock pierced and engraved with the initials "BJ", striking on a bell by depressing the pendant.Stamped inside the back cover: IEDB, small eagle, 3892, small chevron, the pendant stamped with two superimposed "A"s.Diam. 58 mm.
