Notes

The 1930's witnessed the birth of the Universal dual push-piece chronograph and the chronograph wristwatch with a 12- hour register, which brought about a veritable revolution in the field of chronographic functions. This innovation was followed in 1936 by the "Compax". In the space of only a few years, Universal developed a stunning succession of prestigious models: The "Uni-Compax", the "Dato-Compax", the "Medico-Compax" and in 1944, the year marking the Golden Anniversary of Universal's foundtion, the "Tri-Compax".
