The present watch was a gift from Russell Simmons to Brett Ratner.
Russell Simmons American entrepreneur and philanthropist. Simmons has been instrumental in bringing the powerful influence of hip-hop culture to every facet of business and media since its inception in the late 1970s. In 2007 USA Today named Russell Simmons one of the "Top 25 Most Influential People of the Past 20 Years."
Brett Ratner In a very short time, he has established himself as one of Hollywood's most successful directors. Ratner's first five feature films have grossed nearly one billion dollars. Raised in Miami Beach, Ratner had dreamed of being a filmmaker since the age of eight. He enrolled in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at age 16, becoming the department's youngest film major.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center was established in 1977, as an international Jewish human rights organization dedicated to repairing the world. The organization aims to foster tolerance and understanding through community involvement, educational outreach and social action. Brett Ratner serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Simon Wiesenthal Center & Museum of Tolerance.
