Musical Capucine French, the musical movement Swiss, signed LC, No. 3608. Made circa 1835. Fine, brass, eight-day going, hour and half-hour striking and repeating, the hours struck twice at 12 and 12.02, musical Capucine clock with alarm, playing three tunes on the hour and at will.
C. Brass rectangular with lateral and back doors, deep base housing the musical movement, bell, handle and four finials at the top, regulator dial in the center, gilt brass leaf decorated bezel, raised on four turned brass feet. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 14 x 11 cm., brass rectangular full plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, anchor escapement, pendulum with brass bob, silk suspension, rack striking work on the back plate, pull-wound alarm train also sounding on the bell, repeat lever protruding through the side door. Musical movement: 100 x 57 mm., brass bed, pull winding, pinned cylinder playing against 61 tuned steel teeth (two broken) in a single comb, fly governor, levers for start/stop and tune selection in the side. Dim. 33 x 16 x 10.5 cm.
