Notes

The present clock was made in Southern Germany in the last quarter of the 16th century and has a particularly fine case, the panels of which are engraved with six signs consecutive signs of the zodiac: Scorpio; Capricorn; Sagittarius; Pisces; Aquarius and Aries, representing the months of October through to April. This was presumably of special significance to the original owner.
