C. Multi-piece, the sides and top glazed with bevelled glass, moulded top and base, bun feet, the solid back with shuttered winding holes, hinged handle. D. Silvered, moiré engine-turned with radial painted Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, alarm setting dial with radial Arabic numerals. Gold spade hands. M. Rectangular brass plates, going barrels for the going and striking trains, barrel for the alarm train, lateral lever escapement on a large skeletonized brass platform, plain three-arm brass balance, flat blued steel balance spring, index regulator accessed from the back of the case, striking on a bell. Dim. 14.5 x 10.5 cm..
