C. Four-body, "Lucia", solid, polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Two-tone, brushed champagne with bold black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel epee hands. M. 18''', Glashütte 3/4-plate, frosted gilt, 16 jewels, Glashütte straight-line lever escapement, gold pallet fork, steel escape wheel, Guillaume-type balance with gold timing screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, the terminal stud adjustable by a screw, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 50.5 mm.

ALS (A. Lange & Söhne) always denoted watches of first quality, whether under the ?A. Lange, Dresden? signature or the later ?A. Lange & Söhne, Glashutte-Sa?. Their movements had 16-20 jewels. Four jewels and the pallet-staff bearing were set in screw-held gold ?chatons? and visible on the top plate. The balance staff had a diamond endstone. The balance cocks were engraved and the index had micrometer adjustment on a swan-neck spring. Only gold (and sometimes platinum) screws were used on the balance. According to the catalogue, Lange adjusted each movement in five positions.
