Notes

Arnold & Steinwachs Table and carriage clock maker, in 1901 at rue du Rhône, 48, in Geneva. From 1910 onwards, encouraged by innovators such as Gübelin in Lucern, Arnold & Steinwachs began producing fine enameled pieces that were appreciated by collectors worldwide. The Cupid in a rowing boat clock was among the first produced. Mostly made of gilt silver, they featured various designs and were decorated with enamel, enhanced with painted scenes and further paillonné or applied ornaments.
