French. Made in the late 19th century. Very fine, gold and crystal swivel fob seal of Prince Robert d?Orleans, Duc de Chartres, and a gold combined watch key and seal and a gold and gold-bearing quartz fob seal of Isabelle d?Orleans, Duchess of Guise.

The Seal: gold scroll frame with swivel loop terminal, 3-sided cognac-coloured matrix, one side engraved ?R.O? in reverse, another with the arms of a Prince of France and the third with ?Deo Patriae Amicis?; the key: foliate engraved with leaf terminal set with a red glass matrix engraved ?IO?; the fob seal: twisted gold frame, rectangular seal set with a piece of gold-bearing quartz. In good condition

Prince Robert d?Orleans, Duc de Chartres (1840-1910)
Was the second son of Ferdinand Philippe d?Orleans and his wife Helene de Mecklembourg-Schwerin. He was the younger brother of Louis-Philippe Albert, Comte de Paris (1838-94) and the grandson of Louis Philippe I, King of France. Isabelle d?Orleans, Duchess of Guise (1878-1961) The daughter of Philippe, Comte de Paris and Princesse Marie Isabelle. She married Jean d?Orleans, Duke of Guise in 1899.
