Split-Seconds Chronograph Tiffany & Co., New York, Swiss, No. 6378. Made circa 1890. Fine and rare, keyless, 18K rose gold pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph.
C. Four-body, ?bassine?, solid, polished, rectangular pusher on the band for the split-seconds function. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with painted radial dauphine numerals, outer minute and 1/5 seconds divisions with red Arabic 5-minute/ seconds numerals. Blued steel spade hands. M. Cal. 17''', rhodiumplated,fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, ?adjusted? cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial and case signed Tiffany & Co., movement engraved ?Pat. 1880?. Diam. 48 mm.
